Wade Building Services Ltd has completed the acquisition of Westline, bringing together two well-established construction supply businesses with complementary expertise across structural steelwork, lintels, site fencing and specialist construction products.
The acquisition represents a significant step in Wade’s continued expansion and further strengthens its position as one of the UK’s leading suppliers to housebuilders, contractors, developers, merchants and construction professionals.
Headquartered in Tipton, Wade has built a strong reputation for its extensive lintel stockholding, technical support and broad construction product offer. Westline, operating from County Durham and Nottinghamshire, adds further regional strength, specialist steel expertise and additional distribution capability.
Together, the combined business will provide enhanced national coverage, improved logistics and increased capacity to support customers across England, Scotland and Wales.
The enlarged operation offers a wider range of products and services, including steel and concrete lintels, structural steel, temporary fencing, hoarding, barriers, site security systems, passive fire protection, equipment and site essentials. Wade is also recognised for holding one of the largest lintel stocks outside the manufacturers in the UK, giving customers access to strong availability across key structural product lines.
Founded in 1987, Westline has developed a long-standing reputation for quality, reliability and technical knowledge. Its experience in structural steelwork, builders’ steel, lintels, fixings, fasteners and specialist construction products will add further depth to Wade’s existing merchant, lintel and site materials offering.
As part of the acquisition, all Westline employees have joined the Wade Building Services group. This ensures continuity for customers, suppliers and industry partners while retaining the expertise, relationships and product knowledge that have helped both businesses build strong reputations across the construction sector.
Indie Basi, Group Managing Director of Wade Building Services, said:
“Westline is a highly respected business with a great team and a strong reputation across the construction sector. We are delighted to welcome all Westline employees to Wade Building Services. Bringing our businesses together strengthens our capabilities, expands our national reach and creates an excellent platform for future growth while maintaining the expertise and customer relationships that have made both companies successful.”
Linda Lewins, formerly Managing Director at Westline and now Regional Managing Director at Wade Building Services, added:
“Joining forces with Wade Building Services creates exciting opportunities for both our customers and our team. By combining our experience in structural steelwork, lintels and specialist construction products with Wade’s wider offering, we can provide an even more comprehensive service while maintaining the trusted relationships and personal support that Westline customers have relied upon for many years. I am delighted to continue leading the Northern operation as part of the Wade Building Services group.”
Customers, suppliers and industry partners can expect business to continue as usual during the integration process, with both teams focused on maintaining service levels, product availability and the practical support customers rely on.
The acquisition reinforces Wade Building Services’ commitment to investing in specialist construction sectors and expands its capability as a national supplier of structural steel, lintels, temporary fencing, site equipment and construction products.
