The Undertones are heading to Cardiff later this year as part of a major tour celebrating the band’s 50th anniversary.

The legendary band will perform at Tramshed in Cardiff on Friday 13 November, with special guest Jim Bob joining them for the show.

The Cardiff date forms part of an extensive UK and European tour marking five decades of The Undertones.

Formed in 1976, the band are behind a string of classics including “Teenage Kicks”, “True Confessions”, “More Songs About Chocolate And Girls”, “Jimmy Jimmy”, “Get Over You”, “Here Comes The Summer” and “My Perfect Cousin”.

Across the UK leg of the anniversary tour, The Undertones will be joined by a number of special guests at selected shows, including The Beat Featuring Ranking Roger, The Men They Couldn’t Hang, Jim Bob, Ruts DC and Tom Robinson.

Jim Bob will support the band for three consecutive dates in November, starting at the Arena in Torquay on 12 November before the Cardiff performance the following night and a show at Electric Bristol on 14 November.

Alongside the anniversary tour, The Undertones will be promoting their first live album, ‘16 Live Humdingers’.

Recorded in Glasgow in 2023, the album features a selection of old and new songs performed by the post-1999 line-up with Paul McLoone on vocals.

The album is currently available exclusively at the band’s shows on green vinyl.

The Undertones’ 50th anniversary UK tour begins at Epic Studios in Norwich on 5 October, with further dates in Leeds, Birmingham, Sunderland, Sheffield, Manchester, Torquay, Cardiff, Bristol, Southampton, Brighton and London.

The tour concludes with a show at London’s Electric Ballroom on 22 November.

The Undertones will perform at Tramshed, Cardiff, on Friday 13 November with special guest Jim Bob. Tickets are available through the band’s website.
