Residents of Undy are being encouraged to have their say on proposed road safety improvements along the B4245.
Monmouthshire County Council is seeking feedback on plans designed to make it safer and easier for people to walk, wheel, cycle, use public transport and travel through the village.
The proposals include a new Toucan crossing near Pankhurst Drive, a shared-use path between Pankhurst Drive and The Elms, upgraded pedestrian crossing points, improved bus stops and shelters with real-time passenger information, and road resurfacing works.
The scheme responds to local road safety concerns and aims to improve access for all users while supporting safer, more sustainable travel.
It also forms part of wider plans to improve active travel connections between Undy and Rogiet.
The council wants to hear from people who live, work, travel, or attend school in the area. Community feedback will help shape the final design before construction is expected to begin in early 2027.
Cllr Sara Burch, Cabinet Member for Rural Affairs, Housing & Tourism, said: “We want to make it easier and safer for people to get around Undy, whether they’re walking, cycling, using a mobility scooter or catching the bus.
“It’s really important that local people have their say. By sharing your views, you can help shape proposals that reflect the needs of the community and support better everyday journeys for everyone.”

Along with the online survey, residents are welcome at the scheme drop-in session at Magor & Undy Community Hub (Small Hall) at 2pm-5pm on Thursday 10th September.
The consultation is open until 23 September 2026. Every response will help shape future road safety improvements in Undy.
