The Streets have announced a return to Cardiff this autumn, performing at DEPOT on Friday 6th November following their sell-out summer show at Cardiff Castle.
Just three months after thrilling thousands of fans inside the Castle walls, Mike Skinner and his band will bring their acclaimed live show to DEPOT’s 2,100-capacity venue on Curran Road.
The newly announced date will give Cardiff audiences the rare opportunity to experience one of the most influential British acts of the 21st century at much closer quarters, as The Streets continue their landmark A Grand Don’t Come For Free tour.
Tickets go on presale at 10am, Thursday 3rd September before general sale at 10am, Friday 4th September, via depotcardiff.com.
Originally released in 2004, A Grand Don’t Come For Free entered the UK charts at number one, went multi-platinum and produced era-defining singles including Dry Your Eyes, Fit But You Know It and Blinded By The Lights.
More than two decades later, the record remains one of the most important British albums of the century: a cinematic journey through love, loss, chaos, heartbreak and hope, told with Skinner’s unmistakable humour and raw honesty.
The Streets broke through in 2002 with the Mercury Prize-nominated Original Pirate Material, a record widely credited with changing the face of British rap. Since then, Skinner has released six further full-length projects and built a reputation as an inimitable live performer capable of gripping audiences everywhere from packed basements to festival headline stages.
The announcement represents another major addition to DEPOT’s growing live-music programme, which includes Charlotte Church, I Prevail, Autechre, PRESIDENT, Avatar, Fat Dog, Midge Ure and The Hunna across the final months of 2026.
DEPOT founder Nick Saunders said: “With the Castle show selling out, we knew there was a real demand for this. Bringing the show indoors into a more intimate setting will make it all the more special.”
