Commercial law firm Darwin Gray continues to see a record number of new joiners across the firm’s disciplines, including the latest appointments into the litigation and corporate law teams.

A full-service firm with offices in south and north Wales, Darwin Gray is embracing a level of unprecedented growth in the firm’s 24-year history. The growth has seen the firm expand its teams, office spaces and service offerings.

Darwin Gray’s commercial disputes team has grown by almost 300% since 2024. In the past 12 months alone, the team has welcomed Senior Associate Vanessa Lovell, Associate Rohey Jomadar, Solicitor Melody Nyarang’o and Paralegal Siriol Hughes.

These arrivals bring with them a wealth of expertise and experience across a diverse range of disputes, from high-profile property disputes to contested wills and probate and commercial contract disputes.

Head of the commercial litigation team, Patrick Murphy said: “It’s been fantastic to welcome so many new joiners to the firm, and in particular to my team. It has been an exciting period of growth for us in litigation, as we strengthen our offering and expertise to continue to deliver the exceptional quality and service that our clients have come to expect.”

Darwin Gray’s corporate and commercial team has also experienced a period of growth, including the recent arrival of Associate Siobhan Johnson, whose experience in corporate law further strengthens the team’s corporate and M&A offering.

Head of the corporate and commercial team, Stephen Thompson, said: “We’re so pleased to have Siobhan on board. Her experience and expertise bring a fresh dynamic to the team. We have seen huge growth in the M&A work we’re doing for clients and we are looking forward to building on this further.”

In addition to new talent, both teams have also recently showcased the firm’s organic growth strategy through the promotion of two Partners, Siôn Fôn and Siobhan Williams. Siôn specialises in property litigation, while Siobhan’s expertise ranges from complex M&A transactions to advising on strategic commercial agreements.

Recent recognition of Darwin Gray’s success includes a shortlisting for both ‘Law Firm of the Year’ at the Business In Wales Awards and ‘Corporate Law Firm of the Year’ at the Insider Dealmakers Wales Awards.
