“And in the end, this didn’t appear to deter potential owners who piled in with their bids for the city centre property.
“Listed with a guide price of just £29,000 this was soon passed with a total of 110 bids eventually being recorded from a dozen bidders and the virtual hammer falling at an impressive £118,500, four times guide price..
“The property, which offers great potential, currently provides an open plan lounge/dining room, kitchen, bathroom and three bedrooms above.
“The rear garden, which offers its own challenges, is currently overgrown and inaccessible. Once refurbished we anticipate a rental of approximately £1,300 pcm.
“The property has good rail links via Cardiff Queen Street station and direct links to Cardiff Central, and is a short distance to the local primary school.”
