Rock icons Slash featuring Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators are heading to Cardiff next summer for a huge outdoor show at Cardiff Castle.

The band will headline DEPOT Live at Cardiff Castle on Wednesday, June 30, 2027, as part of their newly announced Flying Blind World Tour.

Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday, October 9 via Ticketmaster.

The Cardiff date comes as Slash featuring Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators, also known as SMKC, announce their new album Flying Blind and an extensive 2027 world tour.

Featuring Slash alongside vocalist Myles Kennedy, bassist Todd Kerns, drummer Brent Fitz and rhythm guitarist Frank Sidoris, the band are now 15 years and five albums into one of modern rock’s most enduring collaborations.

Their new single, Flying Blind, is the first taste of the band’s next chapter and serves as the title track from their fifth studio album, which will be released on February 26 via Gibson Records.

Recorded largely live with longtime producer Michael “Elvis” Baskette at Studio Barbarosa in Florida, the 12-track album was completed largely within approximately one week, with the band often recording two songs a day while performing together in the same room.

“It’s a really fun, kind of spontaneous rock ’n’ roll record,” says Slash of Flying Blind. “It’s very straightforward and down-to-earth and raw.”

Across its 12 tracks, Flying Blind explores a range of sounds while retaining the band’s hard-rock foundations.

Good Time Girl combines a talk box hook with a country influence inspired by pioneering guitarist Jimmy Bryant and steel guitarist Speedy West, while Sweet Kill delivers riff-driven rock that Slash calls “probably the most ’80s thing I’ve done in a while.”

The roots of SMKC stretch back to Slash’s star-studded self-titled 2010 solo album, on which Kennedy appeared as one of several guest vocalists.

The musical and personal connection that followed developed into a permanent band.

“I got into working with the Conspirators as a happy accident from doing that first solo album,” Slash says. “I established a relationship with these guys on a musical and personal level that I wasn’t about to give up.”

The Flying Blind World Tour 2027 will launch in Latin America in April before reaching North America on April 23 and continuing through the UK and Europe.

Slash joins Ronan Keating, Jack Savoretti and James Morrison among the first headline acts announced for DEPOT Live at Cardiff Castle in 2027.

The concert series is presented by promoters DEPOT Live and Cuffe and Taylor.

DEPOT Live founder Nick Saunders said: “Slash and Myles Kennedy are both undisputed icons of rock so we are delighted to be welcoming them for what is set to be a truly memorable night at Cardiff Castle. Our audiences love rock music so I expect this to be a very popular show attracting people from far and wide.”

Slash featuring Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators will play DEPOT Live at Cardiff Castle on Wednesday, June 30, 2027. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday, October 9.
