Green-fingered volunteers are being invited to help enhance the county’s environment.
As part of Denbighshire County Council’s project to plant 18,000 trees in the county, a tree planting day will take place in Rhyl on Tuesday, January 22.
The Council is in the process of planting 11,000 trees at Rhyl’s former tip site, Glan Morfa, transforming it into a multi-use community green space, while a further 7,000 trees will be planted at other sites in Rhyl and Upper Denbigh.
It is part of the Council’s work to protect and enhance the environment.
Those who wish to attend are asked to meet at Marsh Tracks car park, Glan Morfa, Rhyl at 10.30am on Tuesday, January 22.
All volunteers are welcome and tools and guidance will be provided by the Council’s countryside wardens.
