Leading regional practice RDP Law has welcomed Kerry Beynon as a partner. Dr Beynon will head up RDP’s commercial / corporate team and will spearhead the launch of the firm’s new Intellectual Property and Data Protection services.

Dr Beynon, a key influencer in her field, speaks internationally on the subjects of Data Protection and Cyber Security and has spoken recently at GISEC (the largest cyber security exhibition in the Middle East, Africa and Asia) and at the European Cyber Security Week in France.

She said, “As a leading practice with a strong ethos and identity I am thrilled to be joining RDP. It is an exciting time for South Wales in terms of its growing reputation as a centre for cyber security excellence, and it is fantastic for RDP to be a part of that.”

The hire represents a further strengthening of the RDP team, which has seen staff numbers increase by 30% in the past 12 months. This was a period that also saw turnover growth reaching double figures and the firm receiving multiple nominations for national awards.

James Davies Director at RDP said:

“We’re delighted to welcome Kerry to the team and are excited by the opportunities that she brings for the firm to expand into new niche practice areas, such as data and IP, as well as strengthening our existing corporate and commercial offering, both regionally and nationally”.
