Educ8 Group has been named Employer of the Year at the recent Federation of Small Businesses Awards, Wales.

This is the second gong in as many months for the Ystrad Mynach-headquartered firm after what has been a hugely successful 2019 so far.

The FSB award comes hot off the heels of the firm clinching the Best Small Company in Wales to work for at the annual Sunday Times Best Companies Awards, coming out 6th overall across the UK.

Speaking of the award, Sales Director, Tim Barnett, said: “To say our year has started with a bang is a huge understatement. From our successful acquisition of ISA Training at the start of the year to the Sunday Times award, celebrating our 15th anniversary and now this; it really has been a case of reaping the rewards of a lot of hard work.

“What makes this even more pleasing is that it is an award based on what it is like to work at Educ8. Our people are our biggest asset and are the ones who drive this business to succeed as it is doing. Without them, we really would not be able to deliver the results we do.”

Founded in 2004 by chairman Colin Tucker, the business is headquartered in Ystrad Mynach and has operations across Wales and England, with the ambitious company acquiring Bridgend-based ISA Training as recently as January.

The FSB Award ceremony was held on Friday 22nd March at the Hilton in Cardiff city centre and Educ8 CEO, Grant Santos, said: “This is another fantastic achievement for us this year and we’re barely out of the first quarter! I am yet again bowled over with pride at the strides our business is making. The difference our work makes to people’s lives is enormous; we give people opportunities that they may not have had, previously.

“Our staff work tirelessly to help people realise their potential through work and education. It is only right that our people are praised for their efforts and it is right we do everything we can to praise them. I would like to thank everyone who comes to work every day at Educ8, motivated to make a difference.”

Educ8 is on track to turnover £9m this financial year and it currently employs 185 staff across England and Wales.
