    Arrest following road traffic collision on Newport Road

    Police in Cardiff are continuing to investigate a road traffic collision which happened on Newport Road at 11.15pm on Wednesday night (10th April).

    A 29-year-old female pedestrian suffered serious injuries and was taken to the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff, where her condition is described as critical but stable.

    A 27-year-old man from Swansea has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury through dangerous driving following the collision outside the Lynx Hotel.

    A vehicle involved in the incident failed to stop but was located a short distance away.

    Anyone with information or any witnesses are asked to contact South Wales Police on 101 quoting occurrence number 1900128205.
