Nightingale House Hospice in Wrexham has launched a catering service, Cwtch Catering, with all profits helping to fund specialist care and support for local patients and their families.

The service will provide catering for business meetings and corporate events, as well as birthday parties, family celebrations, community events and funeral gatherings.

It is an extension of the hospice’s 5-star rated Caffi Cwtch, with fresh, locally sourced food prepared by the Cwtch team. Cwtch Catering offers a range of flexible menus and packages for occasions of all sizes.

Laura Parry, Commercial Director at Nightingale House Hospice, said: “We’re incredibly excited to launch Cwtch Catering and take everything people have come to know and love about Caffi Cwtch out into our local community.

“Caffi Cwtch has developed a fantastic reputation for great food and a warm welcome, and Cwtch Catering gives us the opportunity to offer that same quality and service for everything from workplace lunches and meetings to parties and family celebrations.

“What makes it even more special is that every booking has a purpose. When you choose Cwtch Catering, you’re not only choosing delicious, freshly prepared food from a team you can trust, the profits from your order will help Nightingale House continue providing specialist care and support for local patients and families.”

The hospice said the launch is part of its ongoing work to develop sustainable new ways of generating income to support its services.

It costs more than £5.6 million each year to run Nightingale House Hospice, with only around 20% of its funding coming from statutory sources, and the hospice relies heavily on the generosity and support of the communities it serves.

Nightingale House Hospice is an independent hospice and a registered charity. Its services are free of charge to patients and their families across a catchment area stretching from Wrexham, Flintshire and East Denbighshire to Barmouth and the border towns including Oswestry, Ellesmere, Wem and Whitchurch.

Cwtch Catering is now taking enquiries for corporate catering, meetings, celebrations, parties and special occasions.
