A LEISURE business will make a splash with the country’s first hot tub exhibition.

The North Wales Hot Tub Expo takes place in Mochdre over three days from Friday May 10.

Organised by UK Leisure Living, the free event will feature some of the top names in the sector, including Hot Springs, Rotospa, Darlly and Elite Spas.

More than 30 hot tubs will be on display at the Station Road showroom, which has been extended to host workshops and seminars on maintenance, filters, compliance, what to look out for when buying products and holiday park installations.

There will also be a chemicals masterclass, business stands, competitions and giveaways, and support and advice from the company’s award-winning staff.

Managing Director Gareth Jones hopes to see a great turnout over the three days.

“Nothing like this has ever been done before in Wales, so we think it will create a lot of interest,” he said.

“The expo is aimed at people who already own hot tubs and want extra help and guidance on how to maintain and look after them, and anyone interested in buying one, particularly with summer not far away.

“We also have leading names from international brands here throughout so there is an opportunity to put your questions to them and find out more about advances in the sector and what’s to come, and we’ll be showcasing our new innovative Ground Screws business too.”

Now employing 12 staff, with three more to join in the coming weeks, UK Leisure Living has quickly risen to become one the region’s leading firms.

Hot tub sales complement new services in composite decking and Carbon Zero, a solar renewables firm which has enjoyed great success over the last decade.

“These different areas of the group all work well together and often there is crossover, which has boosted growth in past months,” said Gareth.

“We are performing better than expected given the current climate and are on track to increase sales again.
“More importantly, we are collaborating well with the staycation and holiday park sector and helping to pump money into the North Wales tourism economy.

“The expo will give us an opportunity to give something back to our loyal customers, but also to do something different and generate interest in a rapidly-expanding industry which is still playing catch-up with our peers across the Atlantic.

“If it’s successful we will certainly look to make it an annual event and do even more next year.”
