A miniature collectable from the M&S Little Shop range has sold on eBay for £490 this weekend after 58 bids, as Brits clamber to complete their sets with the rare collectors’ item.

A thousand of the Golden Percy Piggy Banks – which stand at just an inch tall – were released two weeks ago, and have sent collectors in a spin.
A handful of the exclusive golden pigs have already been listed on ebay, with collectables found in Glasgow and Douglas being snapped up for around £500 each.
The collectable is based on a rare full-size golden Percy piggy bank which flew off the shelves in M&S stores around the world earlier this year when it was produced to celebrate the Chinese Year of the Pig.

Celebrity parents including Rochelle Humes, Christine McGuiness and Katie Price have been in on the action, collecting M&S Little Shop toys for their kids. Other surprise fans hale from the animal kingdom and include cats and guinea pigs who have been snapped by their owners alongside their Little Shop favourites!
