All roads will lead to Aberdare Festival 2018 this Bank Holiday weekend, with fun for all the family taking place at Aberdare Park on Saturday, May 26.

With gates opening at 11am, there promises to be lots to see and do, for all ages, and what better way to travel around the picturesque Aberdare Park than by jumping aboard the new and exclusive Aberdare Festival Land Train!

With designated pick-up and drop-off points at the children’s play area and the fun fair area, the FREE Aberdare Festival Land Train – which is exclusive for the event – can carry up to 35 passengers at any one time.

Sponsored by the award-winning Penaluna’s Famous Fish & Chips, Aberdare Festival 2018 promises to be a great day out for all ages.

Attractions at Aberdare Festival 2018 include a Family Fun Fair; Zorbing Balls; Donkey Rides; Zip Wire; Spider Mountain and Vertical Slide; Circus Skills and Farm Animals.

There is also a fantastic line-up of non-stop live music planned throughout the day, starting at noon.

Cllr Maureen Webber, Deputy Leader of Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council, said:

“Aberdare Festival 2018 looks set to be another fantastic outdoor family event at one of the County Borough’s finest public parks.

“Organised by the Council, this event continues to grow in popularity, attracting thousands of people into the local area.

“This provides a welcome boost to the local economy as well and allowing the public to enjoy a great family day out over the Bank Holiday weekend.”

Please note: There is no public parking at Aberdare Park, with exception to disabled parking for Blue Badge holders, on a first-come, first-served basis.

Aberdare Park is situated within a residential area and motorists are also urged to respect local resident parking at all times.

Public car parks are available at the nearby Coliseum Theatre (CF44 8NG) and St John High School (CF44 8BW). Pay and Display parking is also available in nearby Aberdare town centre, costing just £1 all day on Saturdays.

Aberdare Festival 2018 takes place at Aberdare Park on Saturday, May 26. Gates open from 11am until 5pm. Admission is FREE. There will be additional charges for some attractions. For further details visit www.aberdarefestival.co.uk
