    A secret garden-themed cocktail bar is opening in Cardiff

    The Botanist Cardiff will offer a wondrous world of botanicals and will be opening on Church Street in early 2020.

    If you’ve not heard of The Botanist before, they are renowned for offering a secret garden of delicious delicacies and drink expertise. It promises to appeal to all of your senses with a eclectic selection of botanical cocktails, great food menus, live music and extensive wine and craft beer lists.

    The venue itself will be double the size of the 4 restaurants underneath combined. On the first floor, you’ll find the main bar, including a band stand for live music, along with the main restaurant space. The upstairs will have a secondary bar plus a big roof terrace.

    Liam Wood, Head of New Openings at The New World Trading company, parent company of The Botanist said:

    “We’re so excited to be finally opening in Cardiff and to be bringing our wonderful brand to the people of Wales! From our botanical food and cocktails to our breath-taking interiors, we can’t wait to bring Cardiff a marvellous experience like no other.”

    What to expect

    Expect to enjoy a vibrant selection of dishes inspired by the deli, rotisserie and grill. They will also be offering Vegan and dairy-free options for guests too! On the food menu you’ll find their signature Hanging Kebabs™, seriously good sharers like Whole Baked Camembert, delicious mains like Vegan Moving Mountains burger or beef stew, plus a selection of desserts like their infamous Baked Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough.

    Cocktail and gin-fans rejoice! They will have an extensive selection of botanical-inspired cocktails, perfect serve gins, ales, ciders and wines for your drinking pleasure.

    They will also be offering cocktail, ale and gin masterclasses at The Botanist Cardiff.

    When will The Botanist Cardiff open?

    Early 2020. There is no official opening date yet, but the venue is expected to reveal a date in the coming weeks.
