Cardiff & Vale Health Charity and Health Board staff will be taking to the dancefloor, strictly style, when they take part in the annual Strictly Top Dancer event in aid of the Breast Centre Appeal at University Hospital Llandough.

The team called Serendipity, aptly named after the Health Charity mascot Seren, is made up of eight dancers plus a reserve which are Simone Joslyn, Lucie Barrett, Georgina Burke, Sue Dickson-Davies, Molly Lewis, Melanie Wooton, Karl Whitcombe, Daniela Bridgman and Andy Mavrommati.

Strictly Top Dancer is an annual event run by the Breast Centre Committee which aims to raise vital funds for those undergoing treatment for breast cancer.  Over the past six years this event has raised over £130,000 for the Breast Centre Appeal.

Eight teams are taking part in the event. Each team is linked with a professional dance instructor and each team will train for approximately 30 hours between now and the event date in June. Each team has been tasked with raising a minimum of £3000 towards this fantastic appeal.

    The teams include:

    • Team Serendipity
    • Team Uprising
    • Team Hopkins Harem
    • Team Groove and Glam
    • Team Prosecco and a Pint
    • Team Dance and Boogie
    • Team Worn Out Trainers
    • Team Cubanate

The teams have also received some A-List celebrity support from Faye Ripley over on Twitter:

This year’s Strictly Top Dancer event is taking place at Glamorgan Cricket Club on Saturday 20th June 2020 at Glamorgan Cricket Club.
