Accountancy firm Bevan Buckland LLP has announced the appointment of Andrew Knott as Senior Executive Tax Manager.

Andrew brings over 14 years of expertise to the Bevan Buckland LLP team, along with more recent experience as a former Deloitte employee. The bright and articulate CTA qualified tax advisor started his career in a mid-sized local practice before moving to a Big 4 firm to specialise in partnership tax. Here he progressed to become Associate Director, a heavily client-facing role that focused on managing high-value relationships and tendering for new work.

“After 14 years of working in tax in both local practices and a Big 4 firm, I am excited to join Bevan Buckland LLP. The practice has such a strong reputation and ambition for future growth. I am keen to utilise the skills developed over the course of my career to maximum advantage, and to support and grow the tax practice,” said Andrew.

Back in 2019, Andrew decided to make a move out of the industry in order to support his wife’s fledgling business. He is now looking forward to making a long term return to tax accounting to ensure stability for his family due to the current Covid-19 pandemic.

More recently, Andrew returned to Deloitte LLP, where he was previously an employee for 6 years, as a contractor. At Deloitte, he specialised in providing personal tax advice to individuals along with delivering services around his expertise in partnership tax. As a result, he was responsible for around 300 personal tax clients, the first point of contact for numerous clients and for a number of years assisted with the annual editing of the RAY Partnership Handbook.

“We are delighted to welcome Andrew to Bevan Buckland LLP. Recruiting in these uncertain times demonstrates our commitment to providing first-class tax advice to our clients. Andrew is a great addition to the team bringing further Big 4 tax experience to our offering,” concluded Matthew Denney, Tax Partner at Bevan Buckland LLP.
