Chapter Arts Centre is re-opening next week

Chapter Arts Centre has announced plans to reopen its doors to Cardiff residents on Tuesday 20 October at 9am.

They have been busy making improvements to the venue, and putting in place new systems to make sure that it is as safe as possible when customers return. Whether you’re visiting an exhibition, watching a film, rehearsing, attending a workshop, or sitting down to eat or drink in our Caffi Bar, the wellbeing of the community is its top priority.

Chapter has made a number of changes, so things won’t be quite the same as they were before.

Whilst they’ve been closed, they have also been able to make some improvements to the building, thanks to an Arts Council of Wales grant that was received before lockdown. This includes a stylish bar, a laptop zone (with plenty of plug sockets) for those of you who want to work away from home, and new, all-gender toilet facilities on our ground floor.

The past several months have been challenging for everyone including Chapter and in a statement released, they have said they “can’t thank people enough for all of your messages of support, and for your very generous donations. It’s because of this that we are able to re-open and continue to support you and the creative communities that are the heart of Chapter.”

    A spokesperson for Chapter continued:

“It’s going to be a long journey to recovery, so we ask you to please carry on supporting us by coming to see us. We’ll continue to bring you the very best in independent film, world-class exhibitions, virtual events and delicious food and drink. Every penny that you spend with us will go directly back in to supporting our programme, and the community of freelancers and creative companies who shape it.”

For more information please visit the Chapter website where you will find details of how to book and what to expect from your visit.
