Reducing and eliminating workplace risks and hazards is an integral part of health and safety management. For small and medium-sized (SME) businesses, managing these risks can be particularly challenging due to insufficient resources or access to trusted advisers.

Alcumus, the UK’s market-leading business for providing technology-led risk management solutions for small and large businesses world-wide, has partnered with Chambers Wales South East, South West and Mid in an effort to extend its network and help more local Welsh businesses to benefit from its trusted advice and long-standing expertise.

The Chamber is a leading voice of SMEs in Wales, with a mission to strengthen and stimulate Welsh business prosperity through the provision of relevant information, services, and advocacy. As a corporate partner, Alcumus will help member businesses manage and avoid risks that endanger their people, operations, and our planet. These include matters that relate to HR operations and employment law.

Whilst Alcumus continues to grow globally, Wales remains its heartland and a key region of focus. This partnership will act as an extension to Alcumus’ ongoing efforts to help educate and provide trusted advice to businesses of all sizes, especially SMEs in the Welsh region. As part of this commitment, Alcumus CEO Alyn Franklin recently supported the work of the All Party Parliamentary Group for Wales in the World, presenting to MPs and Lords on the opportunities available for Welsh companies looking to expand overseas.

Furthermore, Alcumus and Chambers Wales South East, South West and Mid share a commitment to support companies to be more sustainable and efficient with managing their supply chains and gain relevant skills necessary to improve performance and foster innovation.

Gemma Archibald, Chief Operating Officer, SME, Alcumus: “We are delighted to partner with the Chambers Wales South East, South West and Mid to further support local Welsh SMEs with trusted resources and technology that can minimise health and safety risks. We have supported 38,000 UK SMEs already in their endeavour to become better, more sustainable companies and we are confident that our partnership with the Chamber will only extend our efforts in this space.”
