amber energy begins search for CFO

amber energy, the Cardiff-headquartered energy management consultancy and utilitech pioneer, has launched its search for a chief financial officer (CFO) to pursue the business’s ambitious mid- to long-term growth plans, including international expansion and strengthening its position in key markets.

amber energy was established in 2009 and has enjoyed a sustained period of growth, including a 130% increase in revenues and a 143% increase in employees between 2018 and 2020.

Having recently secured a £1m, unconditional loan, and appointed a chief marketing officer, the recruitment of a CFO will help maintain the incredible momentum amber energy has achieved – even in a year as fraught as 2020 has been.

Nick Proctor, founder and CEO of amber energy, said, “amber energy is pursuing an ambitious growth plan while remaining disciplined in our allocation of capital, focusing investment on differentiating and value-driving processes and innovations. This has ensured that we are in a strong financial position, despite the recent and current economic climate, and are ready to help even more clients tackle their energy costs and adopt cleaner and greener energy processes.

“Now’s the time for us to find a CFO that has the enthusiasm to match our ambitions, and who can play a significant role in driving this business forward. We have built a fantastic and capable team at amber energy, and we want to add a CFO familiar with fast-paced, innovation-driven businesses to join us and help us reach our potential.

“This position will work closely with me, the chief marketing officer and the chief operating officer, and will join the company’s Board. It’s a highly autonomous role that will give the right candidate a chance to make their mark.”
