Anglesey to host new motorsport festival in 2022

The North Welsh circuit at Anglesey will play host to a new festival that celebrates Motorsport in many of its various forms in the summer of next year.

From Friday 19th through to Sunday 21st August 2022, the Totally Motorsport Festival will showcase the scenic Anglesey venue to its fullest extent, making use of various configurations of the track and its environs to feature competition vehicles of all sorts, both in action on track and on display.

The festival aims to have something for motorsport enthusiasts of all types – and their families – and it will cover race, rally, motorcycles, and speed event machinery – both current and historic.

“We want to create something a little different – so the Totally Motorsport Festival will be as interactive as possible,” explains Festival MD, Graeme Glew. “We know people not only want something great to look at, but also want to be able to participate themselves. So, the weekend will feature dedicated sessions where visitors can make use of the track in various ways – and we want to be able to keep people entertained for the whole weekend, by making each day different.”

The Anglesey circuit will therefore be used in all of its various configurations over the course of the Totally Motorsport Festival weekend. It is possible to run it as two separate circuits at the same time – as well as a combined track. The circuit also has its own dedicated MotoX track, to extend the scope of the action!

Wales is the traditional heartland of Rallying in the UK and the Totally Motorsport Festival will ensure that Rallying is also very much to the fore over the weekend, with a number of dedicated rally-focussed activities as part of the festival programme.

There will be a huge variety of other attractions to make it a great family outing. So, for the non-Petrolheads there will still be lots to do – with live music, a large commercial trade stand village and other activities to keep visitors entertained away from the automotive action throughout the weekend. Totally Motorsport will of course, also present as a vast selection of different food and drink options, – much of it being locally sourced – to keep visitors well fed and watered.
