South Wales Police is appealing for information after a fatal road traffic collision, which occurred at about 6.10pm yesterday (Sunday 30 August) on the Gurnos Ring Road at its junction with Goitre Lane, Gurnos, Methyr Tydfil.

The incident involved a Red Kawasaki Motorcycle and a Black Ford Focus Motor Car. Sadly the 42 year old male rider of the motorcycle died and his family are being supported by a specially trained liaison officer.

Officers wish to thank members of the public who assisted at scene and for their patience during the road closures.

A spokesperson for South Wales Police said:

“We would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or seen the involved vehicles prior to the collision and they are requested to contact South Wales Police on 101 or report online here bit.ly/SWPReport or email: [email protected] and quote Occurrence number 2000317107″
