    Applications now open for Transport for Wales graduate programme

    Transport for Wales has 11 graduate opportunities available for ambitious individuals to be part of its journey to transform transport in Wales.

    Applications are now open for the 2026 Future Leaders Graduate Scheme, offering graduates the opportunity to shape the future of Welsh transport while building a rewarding career across both bus and rail.

    Successful applicants will join a two-year graduate programme, rotating between different teams that work in their chosen area to gain hands-on experience on projects reshaping Wales’ transport network.

    The scheme includes structured mentorship, access to development workshops and financial support for their professional qualifications, giving graduates the skills and expertise to become future transport leaders.

    TfW have 11 opportunities are available across 8 areas:

    • Bus Project Management
    • Bus Network Planning
    • Customer Operations x 2
    • Commercial x 2
    • IT and Digital Services
    • Operations
    • Systems Safety Engineering
    • Transport Planning x 2

    Jade McIntosh, Early Talent Manager at Transport for Wales, said: “Our graduate scheme is an excellent opportunity for young people to get their foot in the door and start building a rewarding career.

    “We’ve had tremendous success in previous years attracting exceptional candidates, many of whom have progressed into permanent roles and become key contributors to major projects.

    “This is more than just a job – it’s a chance to make a real impact on our organisation and the people of Wales, while developing the skills and experience to become future industry leaders.”

    Applications close at midnight on 18 January 2026.
