    Are slots optimised for mobile?

A lot has changed since the first types of slot machines (nicknamed ‘one armed bandits’ since they required you to pull a lever (the arm) in order to play, rather than pressing a button as you would today). They were introduced in 1895, and were extremely popular. Although there had been similar machines before this, they had only paid out tokens which had to be used to buy beer within the establishment that was being played in. The ones created by Charles Fey were different; they paid out real money and offered people a good chance of winning. Of course they were extremely popular.

Since then, of course, technology has progressed and so too have the slots. Now there are video slots and online slots and – perhaps most excitingly of all – there are mobile slots, click to play at SlotsUK. However, unless these slots are optimised for mobile devices, they cannot be enjoyed very much.

    What Is Optimisation?

When we talk about optimisation, it might seem a little confusing at first. It doesn’t sound very much like something a slot player would want to know about – after all, they just want to be able to play their favourite games on the go, what difference does optimisation make?

The truth is it makes a big difference. If your favourite slot isn’t optimised for mobile, you might be able to play it, but it won’t be a very enjoyable experience. An optimised slot doesn’t mean that you can simply play it online; it means that it has been adapted to look good and play well on mobile devices. Just by going to an online casino on your phone or tablet that doesn’t mean you’ll get the best experience – you might just get the same experience as you would have done at a laptop.

The problem with this is that although the game might look great and work perfectly on a laptop, it will need to be changed to fit with the smaller screen and different controls that a mobile difference requires. It needs to be optimised.

    Are All Slots Optimised?

You might assume that in this modern day and age every single slot you can play online will have been optimised for mobile devices, but this is not the case. Many are, of course, but there is still a lot of work to do before every game is ready to be played easily and comfortably on a mobile device. We are already living in the future and can also play on bitcoin casino sites, receiving winnings in cryptocurrency.

In order not to be disappointed when you go to play a game on your mobile only to discover that it is not yet optimised, it is best to download an app to your mobile device in order to play (and there is no shortage of these apps once you start to search). This way, because the app has been designed specifically for mobile devices, you will be able to play in the way the game was intended to be played.

If you do find that a site you enjoy doesn’t have an app and isn’t optimised for mobile, get in touch with them. It might not be something they realised needed to happen.

Underage gambling is an offence. You must be over 18 years old to gamble.

Any form of gambling should always be fun, playing in a way that is right for you. It’s good to set limits, take time out or set up reminders.
