Report, report, report. That’s the message coming from police in south Wales as they launch their new campaign to tackle anti-social behaviour (ASB). For South Wales Police, every report counts and can contribute to community solutions needed to bring positive change. The force wants to help people understand what happens once a report has been made and how the police use the information. A group of hiking super heroes are in training to trek across the Spanish hills on a fundraising mission for a North Wales hospice. The 14 walkers have signed up to take on northern Spain’s historic Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route in aid of St Kentigern Hospice in St Asaph. Together they hope their 67km venture will raise at least £50,000 to help fund the hospice’s palliative care services for adults in Conwy, Denbighshire and Flintshire areas. RSPCA Animal Rescue Officer (ARO) Sian Burton was soon on the scene and caught the young bird, who she described as ‘feisty’ and uninjured, before releasing him. Sian said: “The disorientated swan had been in the middle of the road in oncoming traffic, but when I arrived luckily the swan had moved to the hard shoulder. “We think that as a juvenile swan he may have been moved on from where he was by other swans and then become lost and crash landed onto the A48. “Thankfully the police were on the scene and had lane closure in place.” As…

A visually impaired man who used to drink a litre of vodka and smoke 40 cigarettes a day, has turned his life around and will now take on the Brecon Carreg CDF 10K. Andy Muxlow, from Aberdare, said his life revolved around alcohol and smoking since the age of 16.
