Iceland Foods has officially opened a brand-new The Food Warehouse store in Bridgend, with almost 100 customers eagerly waiting in line from 5am in the morning for the store to open its doors. Officers investigating allegations of an assault upon a 10-year-old boy during a protest outside a Parc Tawe, Swansea store on May 31 have arrested a 42-year-old local man on suspicion of assault. He has been bailed pending further investigation. Officers investigating the incident have also arrested a 42-year-old woman on suspicion of assault and a 12-year-old girl on suspicion of racially aggravated assault.

Welsh start-ups boomed in April as the number of new businesses soared to the highest monthly total in over two years, according to new research from R3, the UK’s insolvency and restructuring trade body. R3’s analysis of data provided by Creditsafe shows 2,504 firms were set-up in Wales in April – the highest monthly total since records began in December 2021.
