A 63-year-old man has been jailed for historical sexual assaults in the Vale of Glamorgan dating back up to 40 years. Following an investigation by South Wales Police, Dennis Yarr was arrested in Margate, Kent, in December 2020. His arrest was the result of a victim bravely coming forward to report being sexually assaulted while she was a young girl. As a result of further enquiries, two more victims were traced. South Wales Police is aware of three recent reports of malicious communications towards three schools in the Swansea area. A 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of making threats. The App Support Team at Transport for Wales, all of whom are either deaf or hard of hearing, have won the Best Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Award at the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development Wales (CIPD) awards ceremony. Revised plans for Pentywn Leisure Centre will be presented to the local community at two drop-in events next week. The events will take place at Pentwyn Leisure Centre on Tuesday 26th and Wednesday 27th March from 10am – 6pm. The plans, which have been revised following Cardiff Rugby’s recent decision to withdraw from the centre, include a 25-metre swimming pool.
