In November, officers were parked up in a marked police van in Ely, when Corey Whitehead aged 18, wearing a balaclava, drove past them on his Suron E-Bike. He then attempted skid manoeuvres in front of the van but lost control and fell off. As he tried to escape on foot officers detained him and conducted a search. The Gower Golf Course Ltd and owner of Gower Golf Club have pleaded guilty to breaching health and safety at work regulations after an employee was injured following an accident on the course in a maintenance buggy. The poorly-maintained buggy crashed into a ditch and the employee suffered head, leg and back injuries after the brakes failed on the Kawasaki Mule he was driving. Exciting plans to bring an historic Swansea observatory back to life have taken a major step forward. A planetarium visitor attraction is being proposed for the equatorial observatory in Penllergaer Valley Woods, which dates back to the mid-19th century. The Penllergaer Trust – which manages the site – has now successfully applied to Swansea Council for project funding through the UK Government’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund. Regular rail services between Ebbw Vale and Newport will run for the first time in more than 60 years thanks to a £70m Welsh Government investment.
