South Wales Police is continuing to investigate a fatal road traffic collision which happened on St Helens Road, Swansea, at around 8pm on Friday (2 December). A blue Yamaha motorcycle was in collision with a silver Toyota Prius and, despite the best efforts of members of the emergency services, the driver of the motorcycle, an 19-year-old man from Cockett, was declared deceased at the scene. The Minister for Health and Social Services, Eluned Morgan, has officially opened the Welsh Ambulance Service’s new station in Cardiff. The £8 million Welsh Government-funded facility in Pontprennau is the new home of both emergency and non-emergency crews, previously based at the Blackweir station. RSPCA Cymru is appealing for information after two kittens were found dumped by a bus stop in Barry. The two kittens – aged around 12-14 weeks – were abandoned on Monday 28 November, near Michaelston Close. RSPCA inspector Sophie Daniels said: “They must have been so frightened left in the cold and in the dark. “Luckily they were found by someone who lives nearby who took them in at around 8pm.
