A football club for people with mental and physical health issues is training up its next generation of young coaches thanks to a grant from a community charity. The Wrexham Inclusion Football Club is bouncing back after the pandemic and, with participation growing, a new team of coaches were needed with the North Wales Police and Community Trust (PACT) stepping in with a £2,000 grant. Numbers are booming at the regular Wednesday evening sessions at Plas Madoc, Acrefair, with up to 100 players aged from six to 61 turning up and they regularly compete in tournaments all around the country.…

Leading manufacturer of timber products, Archwood Group, has installed over two thousand solar panels at its factory in Chirk, North Wales, as part of their commitment to becoming a Net Zero business. Shortly after 10.30pm on Monday February 24th 2020, Owen Liscombe and Ben Davies were racing each other on the A483 in Penllergaer, Swansea. Losing control, Liscombe crashed his MINI after crossing the central reservation and colliding head-on with a Ford Mondeo. Both Liscombe and the driver of the Ford received significant injuries that required a long hospitalisation stay and multiple operations. Davies and Liscombe pleaded guilty to causing serious injury by dangerous driving and appeared in Swansea Crown Court on Friday 21 October for sentencing. RSPCA Cymru has welcomed moves by Bridgend County Borough Council who have banned the giving of pets as prizes on their land. It means there are now nine councils across Wales who have taken the stand against the outdated practice – following the #NoFunAtTheFair Pets as Prizes campaign, which was re-launched by the RSPCA back in June. Work is set to begin on the installation of public electric vehicle charging points across the county The work will be undertaken over the next few months, with enabling works at Post Office Lane car park, Denbigh and Bowling Green car park, St Asaph, starting the first week of November.
