With just two months to go, excitement is building for Indie Beer Festival Wales, a three-day celebration of Welsh beer taking place at Cardiff’s DEPOT from July 9th to 11th.
Organised in collaboration between the Society of Independent Brewers and Associates (SIBA) and DEPOT, the festival will bring together some of Wales’ top independent brewers under one roof, showcasing more than 150 Welsh beers.
The festival has evolved since its first outing in 2025, when 21 breweries were showcased in Haverfordwest. This year marks the first time the event will be held in Cardiff, with a bigger and broader celebration of Welsh craft beer, with a competition on the first day to crown Wales’ best beers.
Festival-goers will have the opportunity to sample some of Wales’ best brews, meet their passionate producers, and discover the depth of quality and innovation emerging from the Welsh drinks industry.
Head of Marketing at Brains Sara Leigh Webber said:
“Indie Beer Festival Wales is about celebrating the incredible range and quality of drinks being produced across Wales today, with 150 different types available across the weekend. Wales is the only region in the UK that has a growing brewing industry – albeit very small growth – but we should be doing all we can to celebrate this achievement and support our independent brewers and drinks producers.
“Wales is producing some exceptional beer, and this festival will give people the chance to discover many of the beers on offer from Wales in one place.”
