A milk hub which has helped many families in South Wales needs some helping hands to be able to support even more. Having opened in January, the milk hub, based at Singleton Hospital, Swansea, has provided 104 litres of donated milk to ill and premature babies. Donor milk can help in supporting their feeding, growth and development and in preventing complications, while also supporting mothers who need time to establish their own milk supply. Staff from a leading provider of apprenticeships have raised £1,872 for Marie Curie  by virtually walking the Cambrian Way Path with support from an army of friends. Cambrian Training Company, which has offices in Welshpool, Llanelli, Builth Wells, Holyhead and Colwyn Bay, launched its 60 Days Across the Cambrian Way fundraising challenge in August last year. A BARRY opticians has expanded its offering to the local community following a relocation worth more than £500,000 – and its staff have celebrated with a fundraising party. Specsavers has officially relocated to the former HSBC building at 85 Holton Road, just across from its previous home – more than tripling the store’s footprint. Green Man Festival, Wales’ largest music, science and cultural festival which celebrated its 20th year this August, is the first 2023 UK festival to have sold out in a record time of just four hours. The 25,000 capacity a day festival tickets went on sale at 10am yesterday (29th September). Statistics for April to June 2022 show there were 33,234 divorce applications, the highest number of applications in a decade. “We are pleased that this crucial ‘no-fault’ divorce legislation is now in force and being used, so that separating couples can divorce as amicably as possible,” said Law Society of England and Wales president I. A Gwent football club is celebrating after netting funding from a leading housebuilder. Pengam Boys and Girls Football Club Under 8s has bagged £1,000 from Persimmon Homes East Wales through the housebuilder’s Community Champions scheme. The money has been used to purchase new training equipment such as new balls and goals for the children who train out of Blackwood Comprehensive School. Each month Persimmon, donates up to £64,000 a month to good causes in Great Britain, including up to £4,000 across South Wales.
