Detectives at South Wales Police have arrested and charged a 50 year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder following an incident which occurred at an address in Victoria Road, Aberavon at approximately 6.45pm on Saturday, 17 September, 2022. A32 year-old man was taken to the University Hospital of Wales following the incident where he remains in a critical condition. A crossbow was recovered by officers from the scene of the incident and the circumstances are being investigated. Thousands of runners and supporters enjoyed last weekend’s Admiral Swansea Bay 10k. All participants were asked to be mindful of the period of national mourning following the Queen’s death.
