Wolfberry, the multi-award-winning Cardiff-headquartered cyber security consultancy, has pledged its support for the Armed Forces community by signing up to the Armed Forces Covenant. The Covenant is a voluntary pledge made by businesses, designed to allow organisations to express their support, and commit to ways in which they can provide it. With main construction work due to start in the coming weeks, city leaders have visited the Swansea site where a major new ‘living building’ project will soon be taking shape. Horses have returned to the traditional farmyard at Llanerchaeron near Aberaeron, which is cared for by National Trust Cymru. An elegant Georgian villa, designed by architect John Nash, Llanerchaeron is set in beautiful walled gardens, farmyard and lake, in the wooded Aeron valley. Remarkably unaltered for over 200 years. Tomos and Seren, two eighteen-year-old Welsh Cobs, have been living together for over a decade and recently moved into the Welsh farmyard. Visitors will be able to meet the horses when they visit, during certain times of the day at the stable blocks.

Bethan Scott has continued her mission after raising a remarkable £100,000 for the hospice that cared for her late husband. Following the death in 2017 of her husband Dave, known to his friends and family as DRS, Bethan, who works at Nightingale House Hospice, vowed to raise as much money as she could for several charities close to Dave’s heart. Having smashed a £100,000 target, which was shared in 2020 between Cancer Research, Alzheimer’s UK and the Hospice, Bethan then decided to increase the £80,000 she had given the Hospice to £100,000. A new art exhibition commemorating four decades since the Falklands War will bring together a collection of poignant pieces inspired by the memories and images collected by military veterans who fought in the conflict, including Simon Weston. Bridgend County Borough Council is pleased that Awen Cultural Trust has been awarded a grant from the Welsh Government to reconfigure and modernise Pencoed Library. The registered charity, which manages library services on behalf of Bridgend County Borough Council, will provide match funding to install solar panels on the south-facing roof, contributing to creating a more sustainable building.
