The thrill and joy of live music will be centre stage in a spectacular outdoor concert on Friday, 13th May in the wonderful surroundings of Scolton Manor. Organised by Pembrokeshire County Council’s Music Service, the event will involve nearly 100 young musicians plus well-known community groups. Two swans have been reunited on a pond in North Wales after flying into the windscreen of an ambulance. Thankfully neither the paramedic, his colleague or either of the swans were injured in the incident which happened on the westbound carriageway of the A55 near Abergele last Thursday (31 March). There were no patients on board at the time of the collision. RSPCA inspector Mike Pugh was called to the scene shortly after 6pm to find the windscreen of the ambulance completely smashed and the vehicle being loaded onto a lorry to be towed away. A scheme which allows unemployed people to loan IT equipment like laptops has been described as life changing by those it has helped into work. The digital device scheme has ended a mother-of-two’s 15-year wait back into employment as well as helped a former security guard get his first job since he had to quit to become a full-time carer.
