The implementation of a scheme in West Wales helping employees who are absent or at risk of becoming absent from work return to their roles with ease will boost the area’s productivity, according to one Carmarthenshire mental health practitioner. Cardiff Bus customers are being alerted to route diversions as a result resurfacing work taking place in Cadoxton. Cowbridge Street, Barry will be closed for resurfacing between 09:30 and 15:30 on Thursday 3rd, Friday 4th, Monday 7th and Tuesday 8thMarch, impacting the section of road past the former Three Bells Pub, Cadoxton between Church Road and Bridge Street. Wynne Construction has completed work to extend and improve the teaching environment and facilities at Ysgol Brynffordd including a new extension for the provision of Early Years services at the school. The Bodelwyddan-based construction company were appointed by Flintshire County Council to design and build a £7.1m package of works to expand pre-school provisions within the county. Swansea Building Society has increased the interest rates payable on all its savings accounts, for the second time in just two months. The second interest rate rise has been introduced from March 1, 2022, following a previous increase brought in on January 1, 2022. The building society, with branch offices in Swansea, Mumbles, Carmarthen and Cowbridge, raised its savings account interest rates by 0.15% at the very start of 2022 and has now raised this by a further 0.25%. High school pupils across Cardiff are being encouraged to channel their inner Barack Obama and become the debating stars of the future. In a first for Wales, Cardiff Council and FinTech Wales is launching the DebateMate Schools programme, designed to develop pupils’ oratory skills and awareness of the FinTech sector in a series of debating contests leading to a grand final later this year.
