A man from Swansea has been sentenced after attacking another man with a metal pole. 21-year-old Lewis Dight, of no fixed abode, carried out the offence on October 19. The attack with the pole caused a gash to the top of the victim’s head. Dight then went to the victim’s address and threw a brick through a window before brandishing a knife. Dight pleaded guilty to affray, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and threatening a person with a blade in a public place. A man from Swansea has been jailed after he was found guilty of the rape of an underage girl. 48-year-old Lukman Oyofo, from the city centre, pleaded not guilty to the offence, with the incident having taken place at his flat on December 6 2024. However, he did admit under interview that he had had sexual intercourse with the victim, insisting that this was consensual. Drivers using the M4 near the Severn Bridge are being warned to expect delays after Traffic Wales confirmed that lane closures will remain in place until further notice. The closure was first introduced late last night, Monday 8 December, at around 23.20.
