An ambitious plan setting out 26 actions to eliminate new HIV infections, improve quality of life and end stigma by 2030 has been published today (Tuesday 14 June) by the Welsh Government. The draft 2023-26 plan, a Programme for Government commitment, sets out our future approach to prevention, testing, clinical care, living well with HIV and tackling HIV-related stigma. Wales’ Economy Minister, Vaughan Gething hosted the UK Steel Council in Cardiff earlier this week. The meeting was the sixth meeting of the Council, which focussed on the challenges facing the steel industry, with a particular focus on decarbonisation. The winners of the highly anticipated Wales Business Awards 2022 have been crowned at a ceremony hosted by Chambers Wales South East, South West and Mid, held at St Fagans National Museum of History, Cardiff. A larger-than-life cricketer who helped his club to three Welsh Cups and a host of other titles has been commemorated at the ground where he scored so many runs. 120-year-old Welsh family business Brace’s Bakery has invested £4m in a new production line thanks to a £2.5m finance package from HSBC UK and HSBC Equipment Finance. The new line will enable the business to expand its range and enter new markets. Nine Newport residents have started the weekend with an amazing surprise after learning they have won £330,000 all thanks to their postcode.
