A Flintshire hotel and conference centre has invested £500,000 into the first stage of a wide-scale refurbishment as it aims to make a strong rebound post-pandemic. The Beaufort Park Hotel in New Brighton has undergone a major refurbishment of its main function centre as well as the first phase in a total redesign of the hotel’s 105 rooms. Amazon today announced it is hiring for 20,000 seasonal positions across its UK network of fulfilment centres, sortation centres and delivery stations during the festive season, including more than 1,000 at the Swansea fulfilment centre and delivery station in Port Talbot. Today, 4 October 2021, the Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) has launched an eight-week consultation on how its services will help Welsh language speakers make the most of their money and pensions. The consultation, which is available on the MaPS website, invites all those with an interest in the Welsh language or MaPS services to read a new draft Welsh Language Scheme and feedback thoughts and comments by 5pm on Friday 26 November 2021. All feedback in response to this consultation will be considered when finalising the Scheme. The strong market in Wales for large industrial properties took a slight summer breather in Quarter 3 (Q3) but was still massively ahead of the equivalent activity in 2020, according to new research from global property consultancy Knight Frank. For industrial units in Wales of 50,000 sq ft and over, five deals totalling 440,000 sq ft were transacted in the quarter – down compared with the 720,000 sq ft in Q2, but significantly ahead of the 69,000 sq ft transacted in the same period in 2020.
