Aldi has announced it is on the lookout for 30 new store locations in Wales. The UK’s fifth largest supermarket has been on an expansion drive in recent years, opening around one new store a week on average to meet demand from new customers. The areas in Wales where it is now looking for sites include Cardiff, Newport, and Swansea. Aldi, which now has more than 900 stores across the UK, is looking for freehold town-centre or edge-of-centre sites suitable for development. Legal & General Retirement Institutional (“LGRI”) has donated £10,000 to Just Like Us (“the Charity”), a non-profit organisation that tackles homophobic, biphobic and transphobic bullying. The Charity aims to make education more inclusive and to improve the lives of LGBT+ young people across the UK.
