Members of staff at Tŷ Hafan, the hospice for children in Wales, have walked the equivalent of 7.8 marathons around the hospice gardens in Sully, South Wales in just 12 and a half hours – smashing their target to walk 26.2 miles – the distance of just one marathon – and all on top of doing their day jobs. Incredible images of wild salmon, during their spawning season, have been captured by Wildlife Photographer, Jack Perks, as they travelled through the Rhug Estate recently as part of the European Union funded LIFE Dee River project. Established in 2012, the Wales Farm Safety Partnership (WFSP) is a collaboration of key agricultural stakeholder organisations* working to highlight farm safety and promote good practice. Swansea based Fairwood Park Golf club has recently changed ownership after a local family made a successful offer for the business. A couple who became foster carers almost year ago say it has given them immense pride in helping to change a young life for the better. Jo Merrett and Carl Wiltshire became Foster Swansea carers in 2020 and ahead of Foster Care Fortnight the couple have been speaking about their experience. Traders have now reopened their businesses at Bridgend Indoor Market which has undergone the final stages of a makeover. While the coronavirus pandemic has meant the indoor market has only been open for limited periods during the last year, all stalls have now welcomed back customers after restrictions were eased.
