A Rhondda Cynon Taf school has launched a community food distribution project which not only teaches learners about healthy foods, but also provides a place where families can access free or reduced-price provisions. South Wales Police has confirmed the sudden and unexplained death of a 16-year-old girl in the Rhondda earlier today. Cause of death has not been confirmed and a post-mortem examination will take place to help establish how she died. Emergency services were called to a premises in Baglan Street, Treorchy, at approximately midday today (Friday, March 5) to reports of a stabbing. A 29 year-old man has been arrested following a police incident in Barry this morning. South Wales Police sent armed officers to the incident in the Barry area and were met by a suspect brandishing what looked to be firearms. It take turned out that the firearms were not real.
