Guidance published this week by the Welsh Government, to inform the reopening of tourism and hospitality businesses, will provide welcome clarity and support for businesses, says UKHospitality. The Welsh Government on Monday published its guidance for a phased reopening of the Welsh visitor economy which would see outdoor attractions opening on 6 July, followed by accommodation businesses on 13 July, with the remainder of the sector opening at a date to be confirmed. RSPCA Cymru has launched an appeal for information after Milo returned to his Heol Cawrdaf home clearly out-of-sorts and spooked. His owners found blood coming from his body, and Milo was later breathing erratically. The nine-year-old cat was rushed to the vets and X-rays found a pellet from an air rifle lodged under his spine. Milo was left “millimetres from death” after the shooting, which took place on 14 June between 6pm and 11.30pm. A duck has sadly become one of wildlife’s latest victims of fishing litter, after wire became trapped tightly around the bird’s leg. RSPCA Cymru was alerted to the mallard hybrid duck’s plight after a member of the public spotted the distressed animal at Hendre Lake in Cardiff. Officers from the animal welfare charity found the duck on Monday (29 June) – whose leg had sadly gone totally limp as a consequence of her injuries. Today, Vaughan Gething MS, Minister for Health and Social Services, has announced that the anti-HIV drug, Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) will be made routinely available on the NHS in Wales.
