South Wales Police have now reported 22 people we believe to have been involved in organising an illegal rave in the Banwen area for summons. South Wales Police attended a large gathering of people for an illegal rave in the Banwen area. Some music equipment has since been removed after a section 63 notice was issued and two organisers have also been issued with fixed penalty notices for £10,000. Police have also issued a number of section 59 orders for people using their vehicles in an anti-social manner. South Wales Police is appealing for information after a fatal road traffic collision, which occurred at about 6.10pm yesterday (Sunday 30 August) on the Gurnos Ring Road at its junction with Goitre Lane, Gurnos, Methyr Tydfil. The incident involved a Red Kawasaki Motorcycle and a Black Ford Focus Motor Car. Sadly the 42 year old male rider of the motorcycle died and his family are being supported by a specially trained liaison officer.
