The village of Llandybie in Carmarthenshire is the latest community in Wales to have access to some of the fastest and most reliable broadband speeds in Europe thanks to Openreach. More than 200 homes across the Bro Dinefwr village will be part of the next generation of broadband technology by Openreach. THE INTERNET is an economic powerhouse that is driving the economy in Wales through jobs, businesses and output, new Internet Association analysis reveals today. The new research by Internet Association highlights the value the internet brings right across the UK economy. Nationally, the internet economy contributes approximately 400,000 jobs, 80,000 businesses, and £45 billion in Gross Value Added to the UK’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP). Transport for Wales reaches another key milestone as building work begins on their £100 million Metro Depot at Taff’s Well. The new depot will include a modern maintenance facility to service and home brand-new Metro Vehicles (Tram-Trains). The control centre overseeing Metro operations, including signalling and train movements will also be based here. South Wales Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious Road Traffic Collision that occurred at 17:00 hours on Friday 17th January 2020 on Blanche Street, Adamsdown, Cardiff. A Toyota MPV was involved in a collision on Blanche Street where the Toyota collided with parked vehicle and a residential property.
