Robotic technology is being harnessed to free up hospital pharmacists to spend more time where they are needed most – on the wards. Based at Morriston Hospital, the Medicines Homecare team manages outpatient prescriptions for people with chronic conditions. These prescriptions can only be written by hospital clinicians, and used for conditions ranging from cancer to rheumatology. The team manages the prescriptions from the moment they are written, all the way through delivery to the patient’s door. A village inn in the Vale of Clwyd claims to be the most haunted pub in North Wales after being home to seven ghosts. An exorcism a few years ago whittled that down to three but the Salusbury Arms in Tremeirchion, which features in the Domesday Book, is still certainly spook central. Transport for Wales is reminding customers to check before they travel ahead of Wales’ biggest timetable change for a generation. From 15 December, Sunday services on many parts of the Transport for Wales network will  look more like midweek services for the first time – a 40% increase since 2018 – with Sunday services introduced on some lines for the first time ever. A unique GP service will be helping relieve pressure on paramedics and Morriston Hospital’s Emergency Department this winter. Working with the Welsh Ambulance Service, the Acute GP Unit (AGPU) at Singleton Hospital already helps hundreds of people every month who don’t have life-threatening illnesses but still need urgent, unplanned care. Earlier this week (Tuesday, December 3rd) , the University of Wales Trinity Saint David (UWTSD) celebrated the achievements of its BA Early Years Education and Care (Early Years Practitioner Status) students as they graduated from an innovative two-year degree course. South Wales Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision which occurred on the B4265 near Fonmon in the Vale of Glamorgan at around 4:20pm on Friday 6th December 2019. The incident involved a red Audi A1, a grey VW Polo and a white Ford Fiesta. The male driver of one of the vehicles suffered serious injuries and is currently being treated at University Hospital Wales.
