A police boss is calling for a change in the law to allow assisted dying. The winter vomiting bug, also known as norovirus, is continuing to affect hospitals in south Wales. A total of 75 staff and patients currently have or have had symptoms over the last fortnight, with wards closed to new admissions at all three acute hospitals and at Gorseinon Hospital. The whole of Gorseinon Hospital, wards C and D at Neath Port Talbot Hospital, ward B (trauma and orthopaedic) at Morriston and now ward 12 at Singleton Hospital all have confirmed cases of norovirus and have been closed to new admissions. Officers investigating the murder of Sarah Hassall are trying to identify three individuals, and area appealing for them to get in touch. CCTV enquiries in and around Pontypridd town centre have put these individuals in the Sardis Road car park at key times on Sunday, 6 October, 2019. The outlook is bright according to the results of the latest quarterly Business Barometer survey from Swansea Bay Business Club. Members of the business community from across the region were surveyed, with responses coming from a total of fourteen different sectors, including finance, retail, manufacturing, construction and hospitality – and the findings were notably upbeat.
