Emergency services were called to a serious road traffic collision which occurred at 12.30am on Friday 17th April 2020 on Penycoedcae Road, Pen Y Coedcae, Pontypridd A grey Nissan Micra was involved in a collision with a stone wall. As a result the driver, a 50 year-old woman from Talbot Green, was taken by ambulance to the University Hospital of Wales for treatment to her injuries. South Wales Police is investigating a road traffic collision between a black Renault Clio and a bicycle which occurred at the junction of Penhill Road (A4119) and Conway Road in the Pontcanna area of Cardiff shortly after 4.30pm on Thursday (April 16th). As a result of the collision the 36 year-old male cyclist was taken to the University Hospital of Wales by ambulance where he is being treated for injuries which are described as not life-threatening. Detectives investigating the serious assault upon a 21 year-old man from Tremorfa in Cardiff have charged a 32 year-old man with attempted murder. Police were called to Harris Avenue, Rumney, at 3.25pm on Monday, April 13 to reports of a serious assault involving a shot gun and machete. Keiron Alexander Hassan from Ely will appear before Cardiff Magistrates tomorrow morning (Friday 17th April). Two other men arrested earlier today remain in police custody. The Welsh Government and the UK Government have confirmed a three-week extension to the current lockdown restrictions. Following yesterday’s COBRA meeting with ministers, the First Minister of Wales confirmed that the extension would go ahead based on the scientific advice available.
