Techniquest has unveiled its brand-new science exhibit that comes in a recent partnership with National Imaging Academy Wales (NIAW). The new exhibit will showcase the important role Radiology plays in diagnosing a broad range of conditions, helping people get more accurate early diagnoses leading to more successful treatment. An innovative training provider in Swansea has relocated to a larger premises after securing a five-figure finance package from HSBC UK, allowing them to recruit an additional 12 members of staff. Inspire Training, which delivers fully-funded training and consultancy to businesses and unemployed adults across Wales, has used the finance package to expand the business by moving to larger premises. The additional space means the company has been able to  increase the number of classrooms from five to 12, accommodating an extra 100 students per year. Young people from across Wales came together to mark the 25th anniversary of the international Eco-Schools programme at a series of National Eco-Committee events. Nearly 150 young people from 65 primary schools took part in the three events held at Bedwellty Park in Tredegar, National Botanic Garden of Wales in Llanarthne, Canolfan Cae Cymro in Clawddnewydd on 21 November. Swansea’s Singleton Park will host 20,000 music fans next summer when rockers Catfish and the Bottlemen take to the stage. The global stars will headline a day also featuring rock/pop-punk four-piece You Me At Six, Welsh indie-rockers Feeder and dark pop-rock band Yonaka. A narrowboat legend was honoured at a glittering ceremony to celebrate a record year in the North Wales tourism industry. Over the years Peter Jones, proprietor of Jones the Boats, has ferried tens of thousands of passengers over the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct which is a World Heritage Site.
